BCM Resources Corporation (TSX-V: B) has staked an additional 93 hectares of mineral claims adjacent to its Lorne property, located on South Lorne Creek 40 km. north of Terrace B.C.
Gold values of 9.8 and 7.7 g/t, accompanied by silver values of 186.1 and 213.6 g/t, were recorded in a 1988 Assessment Report for float boulder samples collected from the central part of the Company's current Lorne claims. The lower reaches of Lorne Creek were worked for placer gold in the early part of the past century.
The Assessment Report (1988: #17,976) concludes that, due to the steep topography, the mineralized boulders originated above, and in close proximity to the sample locations. The new claims are uphill from the sample area.
The Company intends to pursue these good grades of gold and silver mineralization during the upcoming exploration season.
